About Me

Introduction

Hello from Linda at LAHLAHstudioCERAMICS.
I make porcelain and stoneware gallery pieces and homewares with that extra special touch. I love to make  pieces that are sculptural & textured & carved & painted
One of a kind. Made With Joy that travels from my hands to yours.
I am inspired by the Ocean and Beach and Bush on the Central Coast of Australia.

What I Love about Ceramics

I love texture and detail filled with thick glossy glazes.
I love making unique pieces.
I love to carve clay.
I love to colour my porcelain.

I love to let the glazes melt together & delight me with their alchemy.

I love it little raku magic.

How I started with ceramics

I started teaching ceramics to kids at my local school.
Then I fell in love with white clay as my canvas

I have been self taught by senior artist workshops & technical art school courses & many hours of studio practice.
In 2021 I opened my online store http://www.lahlahstudioceramics.com

What inspires me

I am inspired by the geometry and detail of botanical forms.
I have been focussed on flowers and seedpods for my Fecundity series which celebrates the life cycle of plants.
I like to document endangered species to bring attention to their preservation and contribute to the legacy of scientific records.

I am inspired studies of the Ocean & Beach & Bush & Studio
