| What I Love about Ceramics |
I love texture and detail filled with thick glossy glazes.
I love making unique pieces.
I love to carve clay.
I love to colour my porcelain.
I love to let the glazes melt together & delight me with their alchemy.
I love it little raku magic.

| How I started with ceramics |
I started teaching ceramics to kids at my local school.
Then I fell in love with white clay as my canvas
I have been self taught by senior artist workshops & technical art school courses & many hours of studio practice.
In 2021 I opened my online store http://www.lahlahstudioceramics.com

| What inspires me |
I am inspired by the geometry and detail of botanical forms.
I have been focussed on flowers and seedpods for my Fecundity series which celebrates the life cycle of plants.
I like to document endangered species to bring attention to their preservation and contribute to the legacy of scientific records.

In 2021 I am excited to collaborate with a filmmaker on a project theme of Landscape studies of the skin as the envelope of life and the canvas of our stories. I am working towards a series of illuminated porcelain forms
