About Me

Introduction

My name is Zorbari Dinee-laago, I’m from Rivers State, Nigeria. I’m a visual artist, Facilitator and Freelancer. I produce ceramics sculptures, ceramics wares, Tiles and lot more. I’m Interested in researching, studying and practicing pottery.

What I Love about Ceramics

Everything, its a fun that turns to reality.

How I started with ceramics

Playing with Clay

  1. Create forms with clay
  2. Using the form for beautification
What inspires me

What inspires me about Ceramics is the throwing Techniques

What I'm working on at the moment
  1. Shaping the Future of Humans using Pottery classes
  • Alleviate pain of individuals through Pottery Workshop
  • Arts in health and wellness
My Artist Statement
  • I am a female artist exploring the paths between empowerment, acceptance, sexuality, and objectification. For my creativity, Polished Clay Terracotta, Rope, Metal and Pencil are my media of choice.
My art is a reflection and convergence of all my life experiences up to this very point in time. My art work relies heavily on personal symbolism. I love dualities, double entendres, and seeing multiple sides to an issue.
This is where I began with these projects of making Ceramics Sculptures, such as Caged Eyes, Echoes of Silence etc. Exploring the diversity of my creativity, acknowledging that this place of pleasure and portal of life, is a source of inspiration to alleviate pain of many of us. That we often spend our lives serving others and denying ourselves, both physically and mentally.
