Introduction	My name is Jen Blakeslee. I am an Art educator and community taught ceramicist from North Carolina. I have been working in clay for over 20 years and prefer to Handbuild and sculpt my work.
What I Love about Ceramics	Ceramics is tangible, practical, beautiful and natural.
How I started with ceramics	I started in ceramics at the other end of the spectrum as an archaeologist putting shards back together after digging them from the ground.
What inspires me	Nature and History inspire me. The connection I feel with the past and the natural world are often what drive me to create.
What I'm working on at the moment	I am working on setting up a studio space for myself after many years of sharing community spaces.
