As a beginner, I feel like there is a whole world of ceramics to conquer. There is so much to learn, and I hope the Ceramic School will provide ample resources for learning, as it already has. Thank you!

| What I Love about Ceramics |
I really had no idea how versatile clay is as a material. I especially enjoy the recyclability of the material. I enjoy finding out more about the many sides to the material, and its historical, physical and metaphorical layers.

| How I started with ceramics |
I started eight years ago. As an arts teacher I needed to be able to teach kids how to work with clay. I didn’t really get anywhere at first. Clay felt foreign as a material, having being used to drawing and painting. Later I tried combining clay with these two.
I tried throwing this spring 2021, and had an heureka-moment.. the wheel felt like home.

I’m working on small pots for all those little flowers my children give their mom:)
