About Me
| Introduction | I stumbled into pottery in college—literally. I tripped over a kick wheel, got hooked, and ended up running the campus studio in exchange for room and board. Then I took a 40-year detour through military aviation, computer programming, and project management. I even taught others how to manage projects, which is ironic because clay rarely listens. Since retiring in 2019, I’ve returned to ceramics with the kind of obsession usually reserved for crossword puzzles and sourdough starters. I work from a home studio in Newtown Square, PA, where I make pieces that are useful, joyful, and just imperfect enough to prove they weren’t made by a machine. I’ve taken courses—including glaze chemistry—and I’m always experimenting, adapting, and sharing what I learn. The Ceramic School has ignited another passion, and that is collaborative projects! Drop me a linLet’s do one together. |
