Cryolite
Description:

Cryolite supplies Na2O and Al2O3.

A natural source of insoluble sodium. Because of its lack of oxygen, can help to produce artifical reduction in electric firing. The release of fluorine at higher temperatures may produce cratered, bubbled surfaces.
