Hi, My name is Juliana Velez and I am a ceramic sculptor from Colombia.
I am writing to share my pride. Install some solar panels and today I can say that you can make ceramics in a sustainable way. I hope this encourages you to think that there are new ways to do our job.A hug.
My instagram is in case you want to know more about the pros and contras.

My kiln is also running on solar energy. It’s a cool feeling and even if we’ve had the panels for two years, I’m still excited each time that the kiln is on. 😀

Hello! I’m a New Zealander living and potting in Taiwan for the past decade or so. Happy to be here and excited for this year’s Congress! I’m building my home studio now (just got myself my first kiln). This image comes from my first exhibition of my work, held this year in an artist-run gallery in Taichung!

I’ll get the ball rolling by sharing a piece from my first firing of 2022. This is a series I started last year for fun and to shake up some new ideas in the studio. I’m still not happy with the clear glaze I’m using but hopeful I’ll get that figured out this year. Anyone else dread glaze testing?

Hey Carole, I have people from the Ceramics Congress on Instagram that don’t know we can use the Ceramic School Groups as a communication hub. Did I understand it wrong? I have been trying to get the party started as well. They are interested in having a live chat once a week at a given time, would that work with this forum? I mean, they are… Read more

It has been a long time since I was active in the CeramicsCommunity forums. A lot seems to have changed since I was last here.
