I will! Sadly it’s at least a few weeks from now, on a sickleave from breadjob as a sloyd teacher. Slowly getting back into studio work instead, which is for the better!

a sheet of News Paper around the piece. Foil around that. Fold and seal tightly with three folds at each seam, so no smoke can escape no air can enter.
That large oval piece was black on half due to smoke firings reaction to surface treatment: Blackest area (and shiny)is my white Terra sigillata , charcoal grey is my white stoneware, off white…

We just found a source for slightly used house brick! Yah! My husband will pick it up this afternoon. I am looking forward to rewatching the class now that the videos are available. Things are happening here in South Hero, Vermont!

for me the connection failed on both ends🥲 and when I was able to reconnect I had just missed how you smoked the piece in aluminum foil with newspaper. It had just some strips of paper and then it was wrapped tightly around the piece? Also, how did you manage to smoke black only half of that piece? Was it due to the surface…
