I am a female artist exploring the paths between empowerment, acceptance, sexuality, and objectification. For Ceramics Sculpture, Polished Clay Terracotta, Rope, Metal and Pencil are my media of choice.
My art is a reflection and convergence of all my life experiences up to this very point in time. My art work relies heavily on personal symbolism. I love dualities, double entendres, and seeing multiple sides to an issue.
This is where I began with these projects of making Ceramics Sculptures, such as Caged Eyes, Muted Echoes, etc. Exploring the diversity of my creativity, acknowledging that this place of pleasure and portal of life, is a source of inspiration to alleviate pain of many of us. That we often spend our lives serving others and denying ourselves, both physically and mentally.
Zorbari was born and raised in Bori, Rivers State, into a non artistically talented family. Influenced by nature, Zorbari had the opportunity to experiment with various mediums (pencil, Clay, Metal and Rope). After her primary and secondary  educations, Zorbari enrolled in her first sculpting class in 2002 as a Basic student. Unlike other artistic methods, sculpting allowed Zorbari to express herself three dimensionally. She learned to work with many different medium but always found her way back to clay, the medium in which she could best express herself.
By the end of 2014, Zorbari left Bori and moved to Abraka in Delta State where she did not only expand her work into Bronze, Concrete and metal. She Obtained B. A(Hon) in Fine and Applied Arts at Delta State University. She established herself as an acclaimed ceramics sculptor and is today successfully represented by DinisArts_House, Ibom International Arts and Book Festival, Oshodi Art Gallery and Culture Foundation and Others.Â
Zorbari deals with the ceramics sculptural representation of the beauty and aesthetics of forms. Â Inspired by classical sculpture and ceramics, she abstracts, simplifies and idealizes the human body, creating figures of dynamic elegance, some with a note of subtle cheekiness. Zorbari Dinee-laago currently lives and works in PortHarcourt, Nigeria.
