Crmx Clay Camp Phoenix Fountain Collaberation

Crmx Clay Camp Phoenix Fountain Collaberation

Collaberative piece with Steven Rhoads from the states. I noticed a clay camp suggestion about working collaberatively and Steven responded to my interest. We met on google meet several times. The suggestion was a fountain with a phoenix sculpture, a tree and nest as the bowl. I threw some of the largest pieces I have ever done, although they arent very big. I joined two cylinders together, which I had not done before. I carved, altered, scultped, and used new to me glazing techniques, the textured pond, as well as several elements to the piece, and a water fountain that works. I am extremely please with this piece, except the tree cracked almost right in half. Possible stuck to the kiln shelf, possible thermal shock. I will do this again.
