Dang it! I raw glazed my cactus sculpture and there must have been too much moisture and weight because the bowl cracked. The cactus part still stands nicely but the bowl came off in 3 parts. ugh. all that work! I will still fire the cactus part since it still looks great and stands well. I just have to trim the broken parts off. Guess I learned my bowl wasnt thick enough to handle that weight and it likely wouldnt have survived the kiln either. It is plainsman coffee clay. handbuilt of 2 slabs molded to shape. Fun to do. Must do more sculptures as I enjoy it immensely, whereas wheel throwing tends to dissapoint me, often.
