Today, we’re going to create a “Little Worry Monster” from air-dry clay!

Creating a “Mini Worry Monster” is a fun and creative way to help kids manage anxiety and fears. This little monster acts as a friendly listener that children can “feed” their worries to. The idea is simple: when a child is feeling anxious, they can tell their worries to the monster. By doing so, they symbolically pass off their troubles, making them feel lighter and less stressed.

Kids can get involved in shaping and decorating their Worry Monster, giving it a playful and comforting look. It could have bright colors, silly features, or even a big smile—anything that helps make it feel like a safe and friendly companion. Every time a worry comes up, they can talk to their monster or imagine it “eating” the worry, helping them release the tension.

This simple ritual encourages kids to express their feelings and gives them a tangible way to manage their anxieties. Plus, making the monster is a fun craft activity that they’ll enjoy doing! Whether they whisper their worries or draw them for the monster, it’s a great way for kids to feel in control of their emotions.
