Apply to The Ceramics Congress Canada Exhibition
Hi, I’m Carole Epp, and it’s my pleasure to invite you to submit work for consideration for the upcoming Canadian Ceramics exhibition that will be presented this May as part of the international Ceramics Congress event hosted by The Ceramic School.
The Ceramics Congress is a three day online event that includes workshops, artist talks, networking, and numerous participatory events. The mandate of the event is to bring together our international ceramics community in celebration and education. Run since 2017 by Joshua Collinson; The Ceramics Congress has invited Canada to participate as the guest country for the Spring 2021 event. It’s a great honor and opportunity for makers in Canada.
I’m honored to be curating an online exhibition for the event in which I aim to showcase the diverse talent our country is known for to an international audience of an expected 8-10K viewers. My vision is to shine the light on a variety of different styles of work, pulling from all levels of experience and background, with a mandate to make sure that the exhibition is inclusive and diverse. Since the exhibition is virtual you are not asked to submit physical work, but rather high quality photography of your work. Works can be for sale or not, and I’m requesting that submitted work be created within the last 5 years.
An online catalogue of the event will be made available for download and the exhibition will have a virtual opening reception during the Congress where I invite you to be present if you wish. There will be the potential for Q&A directed at the artists. All inquiries for sales of work will be directed to the artist and the Congress does not take a commission.
Deadline for submissions is Friday April 2nd, 2021.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
Hope you’ll consider being a part of this!
